I had such a lovely afternoon exploring Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis with this sweet couple.  He proposed there.  She suspected.  They’re getting married on the water.  I’ll be there.  Love is cool.

It’s been a crazy, fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants, balls-to-the-wall, non-stop year. I’ve grown immensely as a photographer and as a business owner and things just keep getting better and better. I really can’t express how grateful I am to the photographic community at large and the wedding photography community specifically for being so open, helpful and generally fantastic all the time. I have so so much to be thankful for and I haven’t even stopped talking about my business yet.

Now I went to school in New Orleans, folks, so hurricanes are not exactly big news to me. But having a hurricane crash your wedding? And still partying it up like no other? That’s pretty sweet. The unflappable Cassidy DuHon had me out to second shoot Katie and Josh’s rockin’ Hurricane Irene wedding at Nationals Stadium. And even though there were no portraits on home plate or the planned outdoor ceremony, it was still an awesome time. I mean, they got to have their first dance in front of this:
