I’ve got a shocker for you guys: most of my clients are not models. I know you’d probably think so, considering all my clients are outrageously attractive, but no, they are all regular old people, just like the rest of us. And like the rest of us, they think they are not photogenic. They tell me they are “camera shy” or get “nervous” when they have their picture taken. Others straight up dislike it. But, aside from all the technicalities of the thing, the secret to good photos is this: laughter. And these two have the laughter thing locked down.
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this, but I’m a foodie. I eat. I eat a lot, that’s true, but more than eating quantity, I want to eat variety. Give me a tasting menu any day. If it’s weird, I want to try it. I’m not the girl that gets the caesar salad everywhere to “compare”. No, I want the broiled squid or the oxtail or something with the word “reduction” in it. I’m rarely so happy as when I am tasting.
Like many Arlingtonians, I had driven by Roosevelt Island about a million times but had never been there. Monica and Adam led me around the really lovely little one or two-mile walk around the island and we took some photos along the way. These two totally bowled me over with the cute factor. Also, what is with the trees this year? They are finally, finally turning for real – three weeks late!
