I’m not really sure who I’m writing this for.  I guess in part it is a cautionary tale for any of the photographers that visit my site because we can always use a few more stories like this.  But it’s also for my couples.  Anyone who has worked with me knows, but it’s really really important to me that anyone thinking about working with me also knows that I am doing my best to be like Bob (that will make sense in a minute).

So first thing, I have to share that I am super-excited to have been accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Association.  When I first started out, I was searching for photographers to second for and my entire first set of contacts came from a WPJA list for Washington, DC.  It was really my jumping-off point for wedding photography and I’m very honored to be able to join its ranks.

You’ll see me talk about second shooting a lot on this blog.  Because I am constantly second shooting.  In fact, this season (so far and planned out through November), almost every single Saturday that I have not had my own wedding, I have been seconding.
