Jess is an incredibly giggly person.  Mike pretends to be serious and contemplative, but he’s just as cheerful.  I had a blast running around Dumbarton Oaks with these two on an incredibly pleasant fall afternoon (don’t we miss those temperatures now!?)  They were up for anything and I’m so so glad they insisted we visit this tree.

I’m constantly telling people to choose a “meaningful” location for their engagement session.  See, here’s the thing.  Wouldn’t it be nice to look back on these casual photos with you and your honey and have memories associated with the photos?  That’s why I’m always thrilled when my couples choose a place near and dear to their hearts.  Ann and Chris chose Cleveland Park for their engagement session because it’s where they spent a lot of time while they were falling in love.  Even though most of these images are not iconic from the neighborhood, I do hope and believe they’ll remember why they chose the location and think back on the beginning of their story.

Maria and I go way back.  Once upon a time, we were both pretty miserable working administrative jobs we were both poorly suited for (and both moved on around the same time).  On our lunch break, we occasionally played model and photographer.  And now we’re all growing up.  Maria and Russell got engaged on Roosevelt Island not too long ago, and so wanted to roll back out there for their engagement session.
