Dana and Hal were married in February, if you can believe it. For one glorious weekend, this oppressive winter we’ve been having lifted and granted them the most ridiculously beautiful day one could possibly hope for a DC winter wedding. The Josephine Butler Parks Center was a classy, bright yellow backdrop to their laughter-filled ceremony and rollicking reception. Meigh with Lula Mae did a great job putting it all together.

Yuliya and AJ were married at the always-colorful, always charming Arts Club of Washington. They flew in for less than a week (!) of visiting and last-minute things and pre-wedding stuff, before jetting back on a plane to Australia (where they live and work). They filled the Arts Club with one day of boundless laughter, a playful wedding party and, of course, shots. Yuliya and AJ:

I’m going to let you in on a little secret, blog readers. I’d say a good 80% of the people I photograph tell me they are “not photogenic” or that they are awkward, particularly in front of cameras. Dana and Hal told me that. Yes, seriously, these two. I have to say they straight rocked out the fall colors on the National Mall.
