Emily and David were married in a very special place, a place where no one had ever been married before. David’s family was involved with the founding of Wolf Trap – not “the Barns” wedding venue, but the actual amphitheater and park – and he and Emily decided to say their vows in the Children’s Theater, outside, amongst the trees and paths that David grew up playing around.
Sarah and Patrick had a really lovely and down-to-earth ceremony at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring and then a beautiful reception with killer light at Woodend Nature Sanctuary – one of my favorite venues in the area. There were approximately eight thousand fireflies in attendance.
Ana and Jon were married at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Georgetown, then held a super-classy reception at the remarkable Decatur House on Lafayette Square, complete with mariachis! They have such a wonderful laid-back vibe, except on the dance floor, where they really tear it up. I’m convinced they threw the whole party just so they could dance together all night – which, if you ask me, is a freakin’ amazing reason to have a wedding. Ana and Jon:
