Stephanie and Colin are dandy. Some couples are sexy, some cutesy, some serious – but these folks, they’re dandy, I decided at their portrait session today at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria, VA. For instance, check out their awesome getup. Our theme was “picnic in France,” which I truly believe fits these two perfectly. They totally pull off the “Anthropologie” look. Okay, we’ll modify: stylish and dandy. I’m terribly impatient, so I’m already posting a sneak peek. I’ll have a full post up soon!
A very gracious local photographer invited me out to his camera club‘s meetup yesterday in Bowie, MD at the beautiful and expansive Temptation Horse Farm. I’d never photographed horses, but I’m always up for a new adventure, particularly one that involves photography. It turned out to be a seriously amazing opportunity to photograph something I normally have no access to. I spent the afternoon in the cold and quiet winter sun, photographing beautiful horses and their riders. A big thank you to the club for letting me come out and join in the fun and learning!
Sarah and Scott are basically the perfect clients. Not only were they relentlessly enthusiastic about having their picture taken, they braved the early morning chill at Huntley Meadows Park in December without jackets. Plus, they were naturally cuddly and adorable all the damn time. Seriously, I would tell them to go stand somewhere and in two seconds, they were doing something super cute. Love you guys!!
