Megan & Pritpal: Married! | Netherlands Carillon

After our epic engagement session together (which is still in the blog lineup!), I was pumped for Megan & Pritpal's wedding.  Set on a hill overlooking the Lincoln and Washington memorials, their ceremony took place under the Netherlands Carillon on a gorgeous fall day.  Megan was simply stunning in her London-bought sari.  Pritpal I didn't even recognize right away with the beard! gorgeous red and green sari on bride This "getting ready" was really quite spectacular.  After the lovely ladies at Platform hair and makeup finished their work, Megan's friends helped put on all of her clothing and jewelry, bought special in England.  Megan stood in this incredible window light and we all just keep sighing about how beautiful she looked. Lauren & Shaun: Married! | Reston Town Center

When I walked into the hotel room where Shaun and his guys were getting ready, I had just one thought: man hurricane. Seconding for the ever-amazing Cassidy DuHon, I had the privilege (as I almost always do) of hanging with the guys while they laughed, drank and tied their bowties. The energy just kind of flowed from there - through their lovely ceremony at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church and on into their reception with an incredible band. Plus, clearly, it's hard to take a bad picture of these two. wedding photographer Amber Wilkie Everybody got ready and Lauren and Shaun held their reception at the Reston Hyatt. guys getting ready at reston hyatt groomsmen at reston hyatt ring bearer before the ceremony little boys getting ready for the wedding getting ready pictures at reston hyatt guys getting ready at reston hyatt st john neumann priest wedding ceremony at st john neumann catholic church wedding ceremony at catholic church with baptismal font walking down the aisle after wedding ceremony exit from church with bubbles little boy signing guest book little kid with window reflections mother of the groom entrance father of the bride Now normally I quadtych these dancing-type shots to death, but this wedding deserves full-size versions. Chloe & Aaron: Married! | Museum for Women in the Arts

The word stunning used to describe a wedding is cliched and trite.  But oh well.  Chloe and Aaron got married at the stunning National Museum for Women in the Arts. The always-talented Cassidy DuHon had me along to second shoot their gorgeous, elegant wedding. bride having her makeup done bride and her sister laughing before the wedding mom tying her daughter's wedding dress bride before the first look bridesmaids flowers - white and green groom doing the guns with purple tie groomsman tying shoe groom frame-in-a-frame I'd never been to the NMWA so I didn't know what I was getting into.  Holy moly, is this ever a wedding venue! national museum for women in the arts chairs at the national museum for women in the arts chairs at the wedding ceremony chuppah at national museum for women in the arts bride coming down national museum for women in the arts staircase Part of a Jewish wedding ceremony is circling around your just-for-a-few-minutes-more fiance, creating an area of protection.
