I’m honestly having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I second shot this wedding with Marcella Treybig all the way back in 2012. Especially since I think about this wedding all the time. Whenever anyone asks me about my “most memorable” wedding or the “coolest thing I’ve ever seen,” I always think of Michelle and Jared. Marcella finally told me I could blog it, and unlike all the other weddings I second-shot from years back, I actually wanted to post this one! Aaaaaaaand, at some point, I threw out all the images. Digital storage is cheap, people – don’t get rid of things just because you think you will never have a use for them again (oy).
Leah and Mike were married at the outrageously beautiful and quaint Silverbrook Farm out in the Virginia countryside. They put heaps and heaps of effort into making the place their own and showing their guests a great time – from lawn games and pre-ceremony snacks to meticulously collecting vintage dessert plates. It was quite an occasion. And their guests rose to the challenge, busting it on a mad dance floor. Leah and Mike:
Rachel and Joe did it right. They scouted out an amazing, remote venue and then rented the whole damn place and filled it with their friends and family, creating this awesome homey atmosphere throughout the ranch. Also, there was skeet shooting. Also also, I got to try and I totally hit the target on my first try. In addition, there was a hand-made chuppah, tasty tasty foods and a warm, beautiful late-summer evening. Wedding win for Rachel and Joe:
