Greta and Steve got married at the Tabard Inn, in a short, intimate ceremony officiated by a good friend. Amidst good food and a boatload of doughnuts, they invited their guests not just to chat and catch up, but to play a whole mess of board games – one of the best reception ideas I’ve ever seen! Clearly the best way to start a marriage off right and ensure everlasting love is to buy every board game you could possibly want (I’m pretty jealous, actually). Greta and Steve:
Alyssa and Matt are pretty seriously cuddly, y’all. These two got engaged at Meridian Hill Park, so that’s where we went for their engagement photos, tromping around the architecture and the one or two trees still clinging to the last strands of fall. The weatherguys said it would be raw, but it was actually beautiful – sunshiny and winter-clear. A lovely day for my last 2014 photo shoot.
Sarah and Jordan were married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and held their rollicking reception at the Josephine Butler Parks Center. Many of my clients are incredibly laid-back people, rolling with the inevitable wedding-day punches. Sarah and Jordan faced more than their share of obstacles at their wedding, but weathered all of it with an incredible calm and grace. Plus, they managed to be completely fun and cuddly for their portraits and then partied hard all night. Sarah and Jordan:
