Now I went to school in New Orleans, folks, so hurricanes are not exactly big news to me. But having a hurricane crash your wedding? And still partying it up like no other? That’s pretty sweet. The unflappable Cassidy DuHon had me out to second shoot Katie and Josh’s rockin’ Hurricane Irene wedding at Nationals Stadium. And even though there were no portraits on home plate or the planned outdoor ceremony, it was still an awesome time. I mean, they got to have their first dance in front of this:

After our epic engagement session together (which is still in the blog lineup!), I was pumped for Megan & Pritpal’s wedding.  Set on a hill overlooking the Lincoln and Washington memorials, their ceremony took place under the Netherlands Carillon on a gorgeous fall day.  Megan was simply stunning in her London-bought sari.  Pritpal I didn’t even recognize right away with the beard!

When I walked into the hotel room where Shaun and his guys were getting ready, I had just one thought: man hurricane. Seconding for the ever-amazing Cassidy DuHon, I had the privilege (as I almost always do) of hanging with the guys while they laughed, drank and tied their bowties. The energy just kind of flowed from there – through their lovely ceremony at the St. John Neumann Catholic Church and on into their reception with an incredible band. Plus, clearly, it’s hard to take a bad picture of these two.
