Kiersten & Patrick | Meadowlark Botanical Gardens wedding | Old Town Alexandria

Kiersten & Patrick got married in the gazebo-on-the-lake at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, surrounded by smiling faces, adorable children and in super-rad matching, green, personalized Converse. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com I met up with them at the Morrison House in Old Town to do some portraits around their 'hood. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.commeadowlark-botanical-garden-wedding-photographers-5© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Ok check the green Converse. I wanted to get married in Converse and my husband vetoed it! Further: I believe I overheard Kiersten say her dress was from ModCloth, so get on that immediately. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Portraits round one accomplished, we hopped in our cars and rolled out to Meadowlark, where lots of people related to Kiersten and Patrick were waiting patiently, cameras ready. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Thumbs-up before processing. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.commeadowlark-botanical-garden-wedding-photographers-30© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Congratulations you guys!

Jennifer & Aric | Top of the Town wedding | Arlington

Jennifer and Aric had a swinging time (forgive me!) at their beautiful, purple wedding at Top of the Town in Arlington. So you know how in a lot of weddings there's that one older couple that can really cut a rug and take over the dance floor and they're totally awesome? Every couple at Jennifer and Aric's wedding was like that, because these two are talented swing dancers. And there was Rubik's Cube cake. J&A: © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com We started the day at Le Meridien in Arlington, which happens to have a big, lovely patio for first looks and family photos and things. Thanks, as always, to Julia for hanging with the boys. top-of-the-town-wedding-photographers-1© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.comtop-of-the-town-wedding-photographers-7 Not gonna lie, Jennifer's grandmother was a bit of a show-stealer. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com She had competition too. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com A few portraits by the Netherlands Carillon before we rolled up for the big event. top-of-the-town-wedding-photographers-12© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.comtop-of-the-town-wedding-photographers-15© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Julia had to sneak in some side doors to grab this one. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com The view. Eliza & Erick | Baltimore Museum of Industry Wedding

I feel a little pressure to describe the awesomeness that is Eliza and Erick, but simultaneously feel I could never quite do their wedding justice with words. Fortunately, I took a gazillion images and I can just hit you with them. Like this: © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Ok so, if you know anything about me and my work, you know I went freakin' bananas over that airplane in the ceiling. See 80% of their reception photos below for further proof. Also excellent: this huge industrial sculpture thing. So the Baltimore Museum of Industry takes a huge leap over every other venue I've worked at to become my very favorite venue ever. It's awesome. There are industrial things everywhere and we got to shoot in the galleries and, did I mention the airplane in the ceiling? © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com But before any of that happened, we started at the super-classy Admiral Fell Inn at Fells Point. Eliza bought matching plaid shirts for all her ladies and it was adorable. baltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-1© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Meanwhile, the gentlemen attired themselves on the picturesque observation deck. Many thanks, as always, to the lovely and talented Julia, who took many outstanding photographs on this fine day. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.combaltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-11© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Loving this one from Julia. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com So these two initially rejected Federal Hill as a portrait site because it's *so* Baltimore, but it made lots of sense for us to go there, and we did. Fortunately the sky and clouds and everything were mad working for us. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com And there was even some breeze to make Eliza's veil go crazy like all damn day. She seemed annoyed, but it was sooooo pretty. baltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-21© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Erick straight loves my stupid photo voice. But this lovely pair gave me tons of time to take them, so we rocked out all kinds of stuff. I was particularly enamored with all the cool industrial things around the museum. Old machines and workshops and so much baller stuff. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Go time, on the dock. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Erick's sister is a graphic design wizard and whipped up these rad fans which served as convenient sun shields. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.combaltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-58© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Ok I got a little sign-crazy. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com The hora may be my very favorite thing in the whole world. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.combaltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-88 The band Jump Street straight killed it. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com A handful of nighttime portraits while everybody got down on the cake. © 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.combaltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-100baltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-39baltimore-museum-of-industry-wedding-photography-103© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com© 2015 Amber Wilkie Photography | www.amberwilkie.com Congratulations, you guys!
