Most of the people who read this blog are around my age, so it’s likely you have been job hunting on Craigslist.  When I was doing it, I was mostly looking for administrative stuff because it’s where my skill-set was when I left college.  Who could really do much besides use a computer, read, write and type?  Pretty much every listing wanted someone “detail-oriented.”  Because they said they wanted it, I said I was it, even though I had this strong nagging suspicion that I really wasn’t even remotely detail-oriented.

It’s been a crazy winter. I’ve photographed three weddings this year and all three of them have had absolutely stunning weather, considering it has been January and February! Many thanks to Cassidy DuHon for having me out to second shoot Trisha and Geoff’s incredibly beautiful wedding at the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel. I hadn’t been before and it is one of the most striking churches I’ve seen (okay, in this country – I did just take a 3-week trip to Italy). Most brides can’t just sit around and do portraits in a strapless dress on their February wedding day. Luckily for these two (and me!), it was a balmy 50-something out.

Local DC wedding blog Capitol Romance is throwing some love the Megan and Pritpal way today with a feature on their Sikh wedding I photographed back in October.  So many thanks to Megan and Pritpal for letting these go up on the interwebs and for providing so many wonderful details – lots of things I didn’t know about you and your wedding!  Enjoy!
