Okay, it’s true, it’s been nearly a year since I second-shot this wedding with the fantabulous Sarah Culver.  But better late than never on the blogging, yes?  I recall Margee and Andrew’s wedding as very elegant and very Christmasy (hey look, I have good timing!), with a big dose of deer heads thrown in for good measure.  And going through my pictures, it is evident they had quite the raucous dance party as well.

I closed Amber Wilkie Photography last week to unplug after my wedding season “wrapped”.  Not that I’m not going to photograph an intimate wedding today (I am).  Before I delve into the handful of images from my travels, I want to introduce you to my sister.  We don’t get to see each other very often, so I have a habit of thinking she and her brother are much younger than they are.  Hard to deny that she has become a very lovely young woman.

I’ll just go ahead and say it: I am basically incapable of spelling Hirshhorn without looking it up.  But it sure is a swell place to do some funky engagement photos.  Susan and Senthil and I were meant to do an awesome hot air balloon shoot last Saturday but the weather was just not cooperating.  We’re going to do that and all, but winter is long and we’ve just begun.  Thus we found ourselves on one chilly November morning doin’ it big at one of my favorite places to shoot in DC.  Y’all, Susan and Senthil:
