Angel photographed George and me more than a year ago and it took us all this time to round up her fam and find a time when we both could do a shoot. On top of that, I’m crap at getting a bunch of kids to smile for the camera (even really well-versed kids like Angels’), so I insisted we do a documentary family session – where I would photograph them doing some activity, pretty much how they would be doing it anyway. The trip to get the Christmas tree was born!
I’ll just go ahead and say it: I am basically incapable of spelling Hirshhorn without looking it up. But it sure is a swell place to do some funky engagement photos. Susan and Senthil and I were meant to do an awesome hot air balloon shoot last Saturday but the weather was just not cooperating. We’re going to do that and all, but winter is long and we’ve just begun. Thus we found ourselves on one chilly November morning doin’ it big at one of my favorite places to shoot in DC. Caitlin and Trevor are the second couple I’ve made get into a fountain during their engagement session this year. I’d say it was worth it.
Caitlin and Trevor met while they were both students at GW, so we hung out there for the afternoon.
