When I write these intros, I always try – in case you haven’t noticed – to think of three things to describe the wedding. But I don’t feel like Nike and Blake’s wedding at the Kittamaqundi Community Church at historic Oliver’s Carriage House needs three, just one: JOY. These two and their families threw every last bit of their joy into this wedding – dancing like they’d absolutely lost their minds, shedding a couple tears of happiness and gratitude, doling out hugs by the poundful. It was my great pleasure to be there and be a tiny part of the day.
Julie and Brandon beat out threats of rain to have an elegant but boisterous wedding at Columbia Country Club. These two held a “small” ceremony with their enormous families, then invited all the folks to come have dinner and dancing and plenty of laughs. Plus, there were more cousins than you can shake a stick at. Julie and Brandon:
Cecelia and Patrick got hitched on a beautiful sunny day in the middle of our fair city, amongst scads of family, tons of friends and with plenty of style to spare. First they got full and really married at Holy Rosary Church, then partied it up at the Hotel Monaco, which supplied lovely red lamps for me to use as background. To top it all off, they hired a grilled cheese food truck to refuel their guests, who spent most of what they had on the dance floor. Cecelia and Patrick:
