Heidi and Jason got married at the funky, retro, jive Clarendon Ballroom, under moravian stars and with some serious block-rockin’ beats. These two put so much work and love into their wedding and it really showed. Plus, they wanted to use our 15-minute pre-ceremony portrait window to do pictures on the metro escalators, which, needless to say, is incredibly rad. Heidi and Jason:
Maria and Doug were married at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Vienna. These two are silly and relaxed, so the stoic faces during the ceremony took me by surprise. These guys take their getting-married very seriously. But by the time we got to the reception at the Grand Atrium at Tysons Corner, complete with some of the most adorable escort cards I’ve ever seen, cousins who can really sing, the “money dance” and a FLASH MOB, the laughs were back in full force. Maria and Doug:
I’m sure I know lots of Canadian people, but I can’t think of any, so we’ll just go with Erin is the first person I’ve spent any significant amount of time with who is Canadian. And I must say, she and her family have convinced me that Canada breeds the nicest, most joyful, laid-back people on Earth. Not to be outdone, Patrick’s family brought the awesome with a dance-crazy aunt and incredibly silly groomsmen. These two already rocked the courthouse, but brought it all together last month for a big wedding at the Crowne Plaza in Crystal City.
