Shakti & DevKirn | Montrose Park Sikh wedding

Shakti and DevKirn celebrated many years of love and life together by marrying in Montrose Park last week. In one of the more intimate and beautiful ceremonies I've seen, they included a great deal of chanting and singing, and recounting some of their love story. These two used to play music in Montrose Park when they were younger, and so though they have moved away, it was a very fitting place to get married. wedding photojournalist in washington, dc We were joined by a number of canine friends. same-sex wedding ceremony in montrose park washington dc serene same-sex wedding in a park wedding ceremony in montrose park, georgetown montrose park wedding ceremony same-sex washington dc wedding washington dc wedding photography in montrose park georgetown wedding photography georgetown same-sex wedding photography same-sex wedding in montrose park same-sex wedding in washington, dc washington, dc wedding photography in montrose park The heat finally broke for their wedding and it was really beautiful in the shade. same-sex wedding ceremony in washington, dc same-sex wedding photography in montrose park same-sex wedding ceremony in washington, dc park same-sex wedding ceremony in washington, dc same-sex wedding ceremony in georgetown georgetown same-sex wedding photography wedding photography in montrose park washington, dc wedding ceremony in a park washington dc wedding ceremony in montrose park same-sex wedding portraits in montrose park same-sex wedding portraits in washington, dc washington dc same-sex wedding photography Congratulations, you guys!

Maria & Doug | Our Lady of Good Counsel wedding | Grand Atrium | Tysons Corner, VA

Maria and Doug were married at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Vienna. These two are silly and relaxed, so the stoic faces during the ceremony took me by surprise. These guys take their getting-married very seriously. But by the time we got to the reception at the Grand Atrium at Tysons Corner, complete with some of the most adorable escort cards I've ever seen, cousins who can really sing, the "money dance" and a FLASH MOB, the laughs were back in full force. They must have a really great deal on block rooms, because I've been to this hotel a bunch of times for weddings. The A/C wasn't working in the morning, so they sent up a maintenance guy. This is the kind of random wedding thing I love to photograph. street scene at wedding getting-ready Maria's niece stole plenty of the show. little girl looks on as bride has her makeup done bride and her niece hold hands I don't do a lot of "artistic" shoe shots, but sometimes there's a good opportunity. artistic photos of wedding shoes artistic ring shot at wedding little girl puts on red shoes groom and groomsmen toast before the wedding street photography at a wedding bride and groom getting ready bride's hands as she has her makeup done bride putting on her dress at the hilton tysons corner little girl with baby blue fans Doug being Doug. groom exiting the shuttle at olgc weird wedding photography aunties at the wedding Maria and Doug were married at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Vienna, Va. - a beautiful, enormous church. Have I lost it? No, it's just that Maria and Doug's escort cards were freakin' baller. They had to glue kickstands onto these tiny bikes and then taped names to them. Che & James | DC courthouse wedding

Che and James were married at the DC courthouse last week with a dozen of their most exuberant closest in attendance. Che made her beautiful hair piece and James teared up during the ceremony. Afterward, I took them to my favorite spot for post-courthouse-wedding portraits: the National Gallery of Art. It was a good day. wedding photography at the national gallery of art dc courthouse wedding photography courthouse wedding photography in washington dc wedding at the washington dc courthouse dc courthouse wedding photography wedding photography at dc courthouse bride and groom at courthouse wedding in dc national gallery of art wedding portraits Frequent visitors to the site are probably tired of seeing this image, but it always makes me happy to make and deliver it. Such a great spot. (Yeah, I have one for you guys that doesn't have tourists in it - don't worry!) courthouse wedding photos at the national gallery of art Also, the National Gallery has taken away half of the pieces I normally shoot with... hopefully they're replacing it with something and you'll get to see some new compositions soon. In the meantime, the blank slate where they used to have that big horizontal blue and green piece makes for some beautiful negative space. national gallery of art wedding photography I had a fair amount of competition that day. national gallery of art wedding photojournalism sparkly light tunnel wedding photography Congratulations you guys!
