Marla and Eric are my very favorite kind of people to photograph.  They were down for anything, as I will prove shortly.  We take a few “happy couple” shots (how I refer to the smile-at-the-camera-and-look-pretty photos I take mostly for my clients’ mothers) and then we were off!  They chose to do their engagement photos at Dumbarton Oaks which, despite being the site of engagement and family sessions every single day, is an incredibly awesome place to both visit and photograph.  Every  time I visit, there is something new to see.

Heck yeah, it’s getting all New York up in here.  Joanna and Michael were my day #2 engagement session in New York awesomeness (day one, of course, was Anastasia & Nick).  These two rocked out Prospect Park in Brooklyn and the beautiful Promenade where I got  to dork out with Manhattan views.  I’m sure all the New York photographers think it’s lame or played-out to shoot there – I don’t care!  I was lovin’ the sweet views.

I’m constantly telling my couples to choose somewhere meaningful for their engagement session.  Plenty of people take this to mean their neighborhood, which is awesome and I love shooting in and around my peoples’ homes.  But Anastasia and Nick took this a big leap further.  A couple days before their engagement session (in New York City!), they changed their minds from somewhere scenic to their very own kitchen.
