Walking Around, black and white edition

For whatever reason, I have taken far fewer lunchtime walks in the last six months than in the previous 18 at my job.  Not sure why, really.  I need to get back in the habit.  Not only is it good for me to be walking and breathing fresh air, but it also provides a daytime photo opportunity. This is the building next to mine: These lichen are a frequent photographic subject for me.  I like to think of them as my lichen because I doubt too many people are spending their time looking at these tiny guys growing on a tree in DC's Southwest quadrant.  But I think they're awesome and almost every time I walk by, I try to get them on film. These next three suffer from my inability to choose favorites.  I get all three lined up comparing them against each other and in the end, I had to chop one by a third to make it horizontal to fit in my website composition.  I'm not sure what this says about me as a person or as a photographer.  What it means for you is that you now see three images instead of two.
