Heather and Anthony are so great.  After their food-centric engagement session, I knew their wedding was going to rock hard.  And it so so so did.  Check out these adorable kids:

Heather’s parents’ home is really beautifully decorated. There was plenty of art to play with.

Check out these badass vegetable flowers!

Then we rolled over to Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  The ceremony was held in the chapel which was quite a different experience than other Catholic ceremonies I’ve photographed.  For one, there was tons of light coming in from the windows on either side.  The altar was also in the middle of the room – letting the guests actually see Heather and Anthony’s faces.

Big thanks to Jessica who came out to help me with this wedding.

I have a thing about people taking photos with iPads, so you know I can’t resist a priest with one.

After we did some “pretty” portraits, I took them to the other side of the church to hang on the playground.

The Barns at Wolf Trap is a beautiful, interesting venue.  It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside it’s all dark wood and character.

And you guys know I’m not much for flowers and decorations and things but check out these centerpieces.  Yes, that is an artichoke.

Yep, that is Anthony mega-dipping his mother.

You’ve captured so many moments here that must’ve happened so fast, I love the groom’s cheek being pinched on the dancefloor!

Amber, these photos bring back memories of Heather’s/Anthony’s special day. We can’t be everywhere at once, but thanks to you and your beautiful photos, I feel like I didn’t miss anything. Thank you so much for your love and attention to detail. You captured all our memories with your love of detail! I am still smiling <3.

Beautiful – I am so happy for you both! The “flowers” are amazing. I have never seen anything like that – amazing (you made me say it twice).

Amber Hughes · October 16, 2012 at 11:22 pm

Love the shot of the groom kissing the bride’s hand during the ceremony and the bw from their first dance. 🙂

Marcella Treybig-Photography · October 16, 2012 at 11:59 pm

I am not as surprised by the artichokes in the arrangements as I am about the carrots, broccoli, and the sprouts! THAT I’ve never seen before. I love it!

Thanks for sharing these photos. What beautiful memories. Healther is gorgeous as always with that famous smile. I laughed at the photo of your Dad dancing with Anthony’s Mom and it was nice to actually see Peggy in a photo for once. She does exist! All my best to both of you and I look forward to actually meeting the man that swept you off your feet!

You rock Amber, we were so busy jamming out that I missed so much of the action that day, now Heather and I can relive it over and over and over and over…

Max · October 18, 2012 at 9:16 am

Tracy Morter · October 19, 2012 at 2:29 pm

Perfect coverage! Full of life and love. Wonderfully lit too.

rose istrico · October 21, 2012 at 8:57 am

Amber,,I continually view the photos and just smile,,I guess I am attempting to analyze your ability to capture such precious moments,,I’ve decided you have the gift of “intuitive anticipation”,,you can somehow determine when a special moment will occur,,it is an amazing gift you have and yes you can use that on your website! Can’t wait to view the entire package,,we have a photo reveal weekend planned in early November! No popcorn as we will be too busy oohing and ahhhing!

Thanks again for the captured memories!
